International Summary: Smurfs is taking over the world

Unable to be  dethroned, Smurfs ruled again for the fourth straight weekend. While Rise of the the planet of the Apes goes up to number 2, Final Destination 5 falls to third. Pirates of the Caribbean 4 reached its final milestone at $800.5 million and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 continues its staggering run at $937 million.

The Smurfs raked in an estimate 23.3 million from 71 markets, with openings in East Africa, Middle East(Lebanon, UAE, and etc.), and Scandinavia(Denmark, Finland, and etc). Its top new territory was the United Arab Emirates, where it opened to a massive $1.85 million. The movie's foreign total now stands at $295.8 million. Expect it to gross $495 worldwide.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes scored an estimated $19.3 million from 52 markets, including a strong $5.25 million debut in Mexico. It also held extremely well in Brazil (down 14 percent to $3.1 million) and France (off 33 percent to $2.3 million). The prequel's overseas cume reached $185.1 million, and, on Sunday, it passed the Planet of the Apes remake's $182.2 million. However, attendance is still much lowers. With openings in Italy and Japan,  expect it to gross $405 million worldwide.

Final Destination 5
grossed $18.7 million from 35 territories for a international total of $58.3 million. It had a decent $4.7 million no 1 start in France, while holding the top spot again in Russia with $3.6 million. However, the movie had a awful debut in Australia where its raked in $1 million--down 150% from its predecessor. With a poor $100 million total, its is still expected to be released in South Korea. Look for it to gross at $150 million.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
grossed an estimated $5.5 million over the weakend, bringing its overseas total to a massive $937 million, moving its worldwide total to $1.311 billion. Weekend Summary: The Help eases 2% while second week newcomers can't hit number 1.

Weekend Summary: The Help stays seated in its throne

The Help   holds its seat again, ousting any newcomers from the top seat. Easing only 2%, the Help earned an estimated $14.2 million, lifting its total to $118.6 million in 26 days.  At this point, a $150 million domestic cume looks very plausible.

The Debt emerged as the weekend's strongest newcomer. The spy thriller managed to rake in $3.65 million on Saturdaya 40% increase from Friday's $2.19 million gross. Ranking second, the thriller collected an estimated $9.7 million on close to 1,900 screens at 1,826 locations. Focus estimates that The Debt will have $14.084 million in the bank by the end of the extended weekend. A 72% approval rating from more than 12,000 Flixster users is a solid start. The audience was evenly split between genders.

Shark Night 3D and Apollo 18 are running very close($60,000 apart in their estimates), and either film could end up with a better four-day haul. For what it's worth, Apollo 18 has a 75% approval rating from 23,000 Flixster users, while Shark Night 3D has a mediocre 63% from more than 9,000 ratings. Apollo raked $8.70 million at 3,328 locations, while Shark packed $8.64 million on approximately 4,100 screens at 2,806 locations. However, Shark was in 3D with higher-ticket pricing, which means that Apollo was attended more. Shark Night's 3D revenue accounted for a powerful 86%.
